I make a habit of responding to each and every recruiter. The ones who send me jobs I am way overqualified for, or simply don't pay enough, I tell them my current compensation package with the advice to send relevant offers in the futu

To actually finish all the content in each D2 expansion you have to invest full time job kind of time in it. Destiny doesn't just feel like a job, in some sense it IS a job. I thought they did a good job rehabilitating the first game f

I quite like BoingBoing bbs. You will find a mix of knowledgable on a very wide variety of topics discussing current events. Many techies, but also doctors, lawyers, engineers, professors, etc.

If you are only meeting lonely programmer types at dance lessons, you should pick something more social. Book clubs. Films clubs. Run clubs. Hell, take up fishing and go to meetups (super social sport, believe it or not). There are many

My point is that congresspeople are unlikely to legislate their lunch money. As well, there is an angle about the fiscal health or the middle class as well. Depending on how much you think the average congressperson feels about them.

I am old enough to recall RAD, and young enough to have seen a few of these low/no code solutions come and go. Don't get me wrong. I love them as a coder. Once I get the hang of them, I can bang out powerful stuff in a few minut

The big problem with regulating big tech is you are punching yourself in the pocketbook. Even if congressmen are not trading on inside info and getting rich, if you have a 401k you are gonna get dinged in net worth by this kind of regulatio

This is a great commonsense idea which is likely to have a positive impact. However, given the array of things which have been termed "Dutch" in English, does "Dutch Reach" sound naughty to anyone else?

Incredibly scary, and on point. Definitely describes how I have moved around jobs. It's articles like this that make me realize how fortunate I am to work in Tech, which has a really low unemployment rate. It's pretty easy to ge

I can't disagree here about some really good music using Autotune. Even if it is not your cup of tea, Cher's "Believe" is undeniably iconic. I am not a record producer, but I feel like Autotune is a big part of the rea

What you think of as Autotune from your examples was popularized by Cher (turning it up all the way to produce that effect). Used sparingly it can turn people with terrible pitch into reasonably good singers. Turned up a bit more gets you
