Related to this specific example, WMR headsets are just open enough for linux VR software to work with them - https://lvra.gitlab.io/docs/hardware/#xr-devices (of course this is an uphill battle, ...)

Markdown is better for many people that want quick formatting even if you have to remember the syntax. Dumbdown is for people that want easy formatting, even if it takes more keystrokes.

This reminds me of ugliest.app - there was a hn post on it a while ago. And then suprise, suprise, someone made a "paypal" login page which was hosted on the main domain. It was put on the blacklist, not sure if it still is.
