I think it only keeps history for user edited files, agent edited files don't seem to end up in it for me (Claude code) but maybe it works with other agents with the proper plugins I'm not sure.

After having 2 fridges go in the last month (one regular and one beverage fridge) I can't wait until more regulation comes in place so that appliances aren't so throwaway. The support person said average life expectancy is about 8

That was one reason I liked Go as well, it's no longer the case though, you can produce native binaries with GraalVM.

I assume you mean KVM. Yes it's based on existing technologies, I wouldn't necessarily call it just a management layer however.

Yes Java 10 now has local variable type inference so you can now use "var", this repository looks like it was last touched 2 years ago so probably why the examples aren't using it.

After getting hit by this yesterday and finding it not very easy to find which extension was affected I went through a big extension purge. Most of the extensions I had installed I never really ever used.

While I agree you need to know the toolchain, create-react-app is a professional tool, it works very well. I've struggled before configuring webpack/babel/etc. manually and while it may "murder" me down the road one

Looks like the best way to protect against this is filtering private IP addresses from DNS responses. Is there a reason why ISP DNS servers in general would ever need to serve out a private IP?

JavaFX also has support to bundle a JRE with its native installer support, it can build a exe, msi, dmg etc. The bigger issue is Oracle not really giving it the proper attention.
