I love stories like this. I used Claude to decompile an old Windows program and port it to Linux, it was extremely challenging, I had a lot of success but ended up just rewriting it as a new app.

Personally I'm excited about the death of Android, now resources can be put toward mainstreaming and maturing the Linux Phone ecosystem Hopefully 2026 or 2027 will be the year of the Linux Phone

I found a solution. I downloaded my Vault folder, installed Cryptomator, moved my files into it and now it synchs the encrypted files to Dropbox.

Ah, the classic side quest into a seemingly useless project - I can relate. Spending three years on a coat hanger sounds just like the kind of rabbit hole I'd fall into. It's usually more about the journey and scratching that itch
