I also have an EX30 and while I have many many MANY complaints about this car, driver monitoring isn't one of them. Also disabling this feature is only 2 taps (because EU says it can't be only one tap), Settings -> toggle Drive

The Volvo EX30/EX90 and Polestars 3/4/5 don't have a backup physical key or even buttons on the remote to force an unlock. That works exactly how you'd expect :)

They're also a lot more resilient at extreme temperatures. Your range will be crap, but you can count on it running in -30C or more without problems.

I went from a 2021 Opel Mokka (4.2m long, 1350kg) to a 2024 Volvo EX30 (4.2m long, 2000kg). It was an absolute shock the first time I braked in the Volvo, not to mention trying to take a corner.

While they are heavier than the ICE counterparts, EV's are usually delivered on skinnier tires with low rolling resistance so that should help a bit. In the end like others have said, it's extra tire particles vs all the nasty cra
