I had heard of ENS but yesterday I discovered that SNS is more affordable so I tried it out. now you can type gushinggranny.sol into Brave browser and it redirects to my peertube instance. SNS has A records too but I have not tried it yet.

no need to be so dismissive. my instance of peertube doesn't even show up on that indexer you linked. lots of people who make different kinds of fediverse indexers end up excluding a ton of instances by accident or on purpose.
