Fork the repo and fix it yourself, ideally basing the change off the fix on the new major version if possible. Yes, you now don't get vuln. notifications for the original repo, which is an issue in itself. It would be nice to mark a CV

This is pretty accurate and refreshing to see. Contray to everyone elses salaries, UK (excl. London) seems very low. I am just below the £45k mark with 3 years at my current company and 12ish years overall. So should be bang on your numbers

I always wondered if larger orgs have options to fallback to other cloud providers? If AWS goes down, or part of AWS, are there automatic fallbacks to azure for example?

By locally I am talking mostly about the city Derby and county Derbyshire, where I live. London and other big cities (Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester etc.) are full of great programmers who are paid a much higher salary than Derby(shire). A

I'd agree with this, 12 years experience here but all self-taught. From reccomendations I have gotten to final stage interviews with large silicon valley companies (I am based in Derbyshire, UK), without recommendations I rarely get a

My eyes struggle to focus for too long on a real book, my kindle on the other hand I can read for hours on end. As a compromise, I will buy books from foliosociety.com as gifts for others instead.
