That would be my God. In parts of the gaming industry working there can make you a pariah though. Not a huge portion but I've seen people get rejected based on working there and a couple other choice companies.

Kind of and I've certainly used systems like that before but in practice it's not really a massive improvement. Sometimes it's even a tad annoying having another layer of indirection.

Just an update. Discord now shows a modal dialog trying to get me to sign up for nitro about every other time I bring up the app. I'm really going to have to start looking into self hosted alternatives soon

Years ago I didn't have to manually kill the app 2-3 times a day to get messages synced (frequently on Android, occasionally on Windows)

Languages like haxe simply won't compile if you don't cover every enum value in a switch case. Would that not be preferable? I quite like that feature. F# I believe is similar wrt discriminated unions and pattern matching

I've done construction, masonry, retail sales, barista, deli, a line cook, aiding the mentally challenged and Software development. Id say all those jobs can be stressful.

I switched to fullhost about 2 years and I have nothing but good things to say about them. I was previously on site5 which got bought out. I wanted to use letsencrypt which they said they support but in practice do everything in their power

I guess the main differentiator over steamdb is getting the data in CSV? Might be good to clarify in the FAQ because the people I know who would pay for this are not the most techy types.
