This is not specific to HN. It is has something to do with browser rendering. I also noticed same on YouTube few times. Something to do with chromium rendering, but seems like this isn't common hence it does not have official name yet.

I don't think issue is with browsers, it is with websites getting more and more complicated. It's ironic that people (web dev) who are complaining about browser, are actually root cause of problem. Quick solution can be if website
