I like the article, but some of the issues are the law and other issues seem to be not the law, and it confuses me. For example, the fact that teams can’t join the NBA doesn’t seem to be a law in particular.

They are very different. In scenario A, the labor of watching the kids is untaxed. In Scenario B is Avery watches many kids and the effort per kid is reduced, but you get taxed.

The card is so impressive that it doesn’t matter much, but I think that if you remove half of the text in that card and make it very legible it would burn your name into people’s brain.

If this was a public company I would put my tin foil hat and believe that it's a quick buck scheme to boost CEO pay. A short sighted action that is not in the shareholders interest. But I guess that's not the case? Who knows...

If you offer a service, you have some responsibility towards your users. One of those responsibilities is to give enough notice about changes. IMO, this change doesn't provide enough notice. Why not making it a year, or at least a coup

Maybe you're right, but we'll never know. It would be great if they allowed some sections to develop so we can test it out. To me it is a desirable location because of the companies, not the lifestyle.

Crime reports are manipulated. A friend got hit in the head and NYPD refused to register it. Despite that, NYC is very safe compared to most of the US, and articles that say otherwise are just trying to manipulate you.

God points but: 1) For someone in BigCo it is fun to read. 2) BigCo is not a bad place for most people. Management should just shut up about efficiency and data driven. No one believes them, not even themselves.
