The point I make on this is: as a teacher you never write the wrong answer on the board. AI will give you multiple wrong answers and a possible correct one. Filtering through these needs education and understanding. Which perhaps can be don

Thank you for this, wonderful break down of some amazing history. I have watched that demo many many times in my pursuit of human computer interface thinking. I often wondered what happened to this piece of hardware… I still hold a deep bel

Use it as a strength you are not bound by preconceived imagery of what should be. Use the way you recall and collect information to be creative, solve problems and bring a different perspective to things.

I experience the same things. With the remember by association I realised I think I can recall the layout of any building I’ve ever been in. I don’t get lost once I’ve explored once. I did a thought exercise and it’s not validated - but I c

The difference is dreams and imagination for me. Ask me about an apple while awake and I’ll close my eyes and it’s dark blackness of a void.Extreme aphantasia (I also am face blind) Ask me about it while dreaming and it’s a full on 3D movie

They do make all the above points in the article - including that it’s hard to verify this information. Comparing it to Stalin is pretty apt - communist party with a figure head trying to hold onto power. Seems like more than just one perso

Yes - this is how ai has gone on for years ups and downs. The trouble these days if I’m honest is either people are laser focused on the latest new toy (llm this year) or too new to the field that they don’t have a grounded understanding in

When I recall my dreams they are always lucid. I have several times in my life figured out “algorithmic” problems and sorted out solutions to things (like a list of things to do next) while sleeping in a lucid state. It’s really awesome whe

Start small and build it out. 1) I think you have a little bit of imposter syndrome happening - so check on yourself there 2) start small. For you I would suggest maybe a notebook (like Jypter) and just do one on say matrix cross products (

Imo it’s because Sri Lanka has not supported 6Ghz yet. So the phone is not correctly configured to support limited bands it almost certainly needs a firmware update on the radio and some effort to ensure it works in that market… and google

Almost certain this is because 6Ghz is not supported in Sri Lanka and you need to keep your WiFi radio firmware up to date and ensure the correct country limits apply to it in the correct way. Poor form from google though. Obviously that c

I won’t comment on radiation levels and the impact on the body. But the USA uses a standard head size for testing exposure which is based on something like a US soldier from the 70s and does not account for smaller heads IIRC.

Gartner has placed AI at peak hype cycle recently. Also in the last few years since a around 2010 when CNNs starting catching hold there have been several leaps that came with new hype. From deep dream images to what we have now. I suspect

I studied using ML just over a decade ago. I actually compared MLPs to SVMs and had a similar thought to this. It does seem like there is a regression on understanding some of the fundamentals and older tools of the trade. I guess everyone
