Ex-mountain rescue for a busy agency out west. I would say our books were "reference" books. They are for theoretical discussion in a classroom, not an on-the-job resource as I would consider a handbook or textbook.

This makes the most sense to me. Also something along the lines of "people who visit this place search for the phrase 'campari' so it must be a thing here." I definitely seem to be served ads based on recent locations.
