Actually, I don't see that as a big deal. Maybe it could be tweaked to have only the first one sensitive or try the all-caps/no-caps. But still, it's all in the length of the password. I prefer to have that rather than someone forcing me to

What could happen is a great open source library that you could host yourself on a linode. So, it's "backend-less" in the sense that you don't have to do backend stuff, but you still have control over your databases. Seems like it's the way

My feeling is that both wants to solve the exact same problem but they decided of a different route to get there. I feel the Firebase way started more as marketting and hype, while Spire.IO is a more traditional minimalistic version of what

Although I agree with your point, it didn't confused me at all. I've clearly understood that it was "serverless" in the sense that I don't have to build the server.

The reason why the site is being sold is missing from the sell pitch. "We have no more time to take care of it..." so why are you guys saying it's generating 20k$ a month without you doing anything?
