I used it too and it gets you from A to B but there is nothing that tells it if there is a road closure, traffic jam, other road issues that makes the drive longer etc etc.

I run my stuff in a local k8s cluster and you are correct, most stuff runs as replica 1. DBs actually don't because CNPG and mariadb operator make HA setups very easy. That being said, the downtime is still lower than on a traditional

Have you looked into Rustdesk? The setup isn't complicated, it's basically TeamViewer but local. It provided me with a way better quality than anything VNC based on linux.
