agreed. creatives themselves have nothing to worry about because AI generated novels are a very poor imitation of one crafted by humans. the issue is the review processes from publishers cant scale

I agree, and I think this extends to programming too. A lot of of software practices are built on the expectation humans are writing, reviewing and shipping code with that quickly becoming the case, processes, practices and even programming

The idea is to keep your mind clear on what the priority is. If you didn't write many lines of code but still solved problems, you did your job. The two aren't mutually exclusive, but it helps in prioritization
