Don’t collect PII -> don’t show cookie banners. It really is that simple. You don’t need your visitor’s PII. You don’t deserve it “just because”. The visitor does deserve to choose if they want to consent to it.

The cookie law does not demand websites display cookie banners. It requires users to explicitly opt-in to their data being collected for advertising purposes. If your website is not user-hostile and only uses cookies for site functionality
