This is mostly just using the keyboard to manipulate the rhythm/time performance of a pre-configured score. Interesting, but not what most would think of as jazz improvisation.

I'm okay with the travel changes (and even sometimes prefer it to the old generation). I am unhappy about the increased sound, but can live with it. But the regular problems with repeating keys is an insane regression in functionality.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the loss of the ESC key. I use Vim and touch that key all day long. Replacing that with a touch button sounds like a terrible idea for usability. Clearly nobody in charge at Apple is also a vi user. B

I've found that google alerts rarely reports new hits on my terms anymore. I know this because I also use their time tools in search to find new hits, and what it finds almost never comes in as an alert anymore. When it does it's often quit

I feel the same way about sites with special iPad interfaces. Every time I visit one I start to see/read the content as it loads and then the site goes blank while some heavy and slow annoying swipe theme finally comes up. when this happens
