Quebec language rules and the minions that enforce them can be quite pathetic. Just a couple of months ago, the debate be was about the right of shop-keepers being able to greet their customers in both English and French, or only in French.

Flash, ActionScript and the associated IDE were amazing web development tools at the time (in the era of Macromedia) - way ahead of any competitors. No one/nothing has really filled those shoes.

Do not give up on quant finance. Your longevity as a quant will be longer in finance than ‘data science’ whose value is quickly becoming diluted. Quants have been data scientists before the term was coined and will continue to be. My advice
