It's more like a separation between backend and fronend. All the hidden tech goes in the cartridge and your screen and touch inputs are your frontend. Most people like their UIs to stay consistent even when new stronger, faster technol

Because then the bugs we find in your app contribute back to chrome rather than Firefox. Then over time, chrome a becomes faster and more efficient browser which makes it harder to convince users to switch. Big picture thing.
