As soon as I got this, I was properly braced for the forthcoming downsize (at a company I worked for years ago).

It is a broad question. To specify, we'd need to know which jobs you'd be applying for. From your description, you could almost surely land an intern or junior developer position. Those of course would (hopefully) give you the work experien

It only really makes sense on profiles either as a vanity metric or as a way to not have to police impersonators.

I'm with you - I don't quite get this considering the Facebook stance on "fake" users. Was a losing battle to fight? Will they now allow parody accounts a la Twitter?

Great read, but I believe movie quote is from Bill Dukes, Menace II Society (perhaps Denzel said it too, but Bill made it famous ;) ).

Not that I'm against the concept, but I'd much rather give up my Facebook info than my mobile phone info. I even avoid(ed) giving Facebook my phone number.

While I recognize the phrase "I done this" within the vernacular, I'd not try to quantify it as such. Let's leave it at fun/quirky.

I'm pretty impressed with the device but I was expecting a LOT more when they started talking about sports. Especially considering that live sports is one of the last bastions of television. Fantasy football and "taunting friends on Skype"

I say drop all of the 'Ever/Evernote' references/nomenclature asap, unless this is just a side project or experiment with no plans to become a business. Invite page needs more description, I can't really tell exactly what it's supposed to d

As a dev: Not sure why the blog sidebar needs to be on every page, especially Pricing. Doesn't come off as "pro" and at first made fear that the entire app may have been built upon Wordpress (I see it's not though). As a user: Love it, need

Notwithstanding my feeling of being link baited by the term "social networks", the points in this article are what I've come to assume & expect. Even if you take out the race angle, most would agree that good professional network is all

Similar used to (and I assume still does) happen fairly often in FFXI as well, thanks to the Auction House system, where someone "corners" the market for a short period by buying up the entire stock and then placing them back, incrementally

I don't think they pose as applicants as much as they use the contact method (usually email) to solicit their services, even sometimes ignoring when the hiring company specifically says "please no recruiters." If they are posing, it would b

I'm definitely in the taking a walk bunch. Seems like most of my frustrating problems are just a case of looking too hard. I'll get up and (try to) do something completely unrelated like turn on the TV or sit outside, then suddenly the answ

I couldn't help but think this as well. Intentionally bad or not, someone likely got paid an exorbitant amount of money to come up with this, and I'd have done it for half of whatever that amount was.

I just don't get this. There is no amount of production that is going to make me care about a phone, or any other type of tech, any more than I already do. If anything it makes me want it less . Stop trying so hard to make tech "exciting"

I'd say that your HTML prototype acted as your wire frame. It does seem to have guided the engineers hand. Nothing wrong with that though. I tend to do a similar process a lot on my own projects. Being solo, and not much of a designer, I'm
