When the M1 chips came along you could freeze a Mac to the point of restart (kernel panic?) by having a page with 2,000 mp4 videos playing at once

Ask AI to choose it for you ;) One of my recurring cron-like LLM jobs is to scout the state of affairs and test new models, and swap them in if deemed useful

I just know it. And I also think it speeds up certain thinking not having to go through the cycle of visualizing and assessing the visualization. But definitely impairs other things like thinking about geometric relationships.

The task is very simple: Thousands of super fast fairly good contractors show up at your company's front door. You can't really trust them with data, they do occasionally make mistakes, they have to learn everything about your or

AI is definitely the loop. Humans are at the top (for now) making overall decisions and at the bottom (trivialities that the AI doesn't have access to or requires physical access). Everything in the middle is a black ever-growing and e

So slowness was is the reason for both old games and LLMs to use the streaming text method. Makes sense!

Haha, spot on, but I'm still wondering how specifically "earns it keep" became such a thing. I think it's a Claude specific phenomenon for me.

Wtf what a bad website; first it coerces me to accept cookies (or pay!) if I wish to continue reading. After this, it let me scroll a little bit before presenting its next move: create account if you want to continue reading. Why wasn'

Supply md5 hash of first name + last name + seed when buying, computed manually by yourself. Upon arrival at the venue you show photo id and a sheet of DIN A4 paper containing the hash and seed, and the Ticket Man will verify. Side joke: On

I remember my friend Peter, in 1999, on campus networking with 100 Mbit internet saying: I think this will be enough for many years to come. And he was kinda right — 100 Mbit is still "almost good enough" 27 years later for intern

Couldn't you say that both ways are "upload queues"? A specifically declared upload queue is also just some kind of dep cooldown. But as others have noted, people having different cooldown settings means a nice staggered roll
