I honestly think Hitachi is well-known even for average people (not for IT division though). Not Sony level for sure, but isn't exactly niche. But maybe it's just my bias too.

My pet peeve about album cover art is digital music distributors padding non-square covers with white margins. They look like shit in almost all the UIs that don't have a white background.

In the golden age of FTP there are plenty of great proprietary clients. Of of my mind I can think of (for Windows) FlashFXP, FTPRush, CuteFTP, SmartFTP, and so on.

My original comment is about his experiment can't prove H.265 is better than H.264 (and I think that's what he wanted to show). Of course modern video codecs can compress video very well regardless if the input is "unchanged
