Yes. Most of the work so far has been PR. There have been no actual solutions presented that can prevent more than 2 degree rise in temperatures. We are already on track for at least 2 degrees and more. There is also the fact that the ocean

Thanks but I avoid HN discussions. I find them to be smartypants signaling with very little substance and the opaque moderation doesn't help matters since dang and anyone else can change some numbers with their root access and silence

The math never added up. Buying carbon offsets is mostly a PR move by corporations to show that they're doing something but to avert disaster requires restructuring the entire consumption based economy and that ain't gonna happen
