As a Linux systems engineer I’ve looked behind the curtain at HAOS and was very impressed by how well things are implemented. Been running it for years in KVM and have never had an issue.

Starting with a full tank each morning is the opposite of annoying to use. Having to go out of my way to a gas station to pay more per mile is the annoying thing.

Our Fiat 500e comes pretty close to this. One attractive LCD for the dash and besides that no fuss. No nav (up to 2016), etc. Very raw driving experience. Paid 8k for mine.

MicroOS is actually based on Tumbleweed. It’s immutable/atomic. I’ve been checking it out and am super impressed. Fits a lot of my use cases.
