Because in manuals you have a physical link between you and the gearbox (usually), Almost all modern automatics simply have an informational link. If the computer freaks out and doesn't accept the message, no change.

Note: I am not justifying this practice. Looking at the install script shows that it creates a new user 'sealion' on your behalf, for ease of install?

What if the 'buzz' generated by all of these people inspires a few people to actually do substantive? Kinda like how spam only needs a few clicks per million to generate a profit. This is just speculation but it helps me cope with

I can't seem to find any indication that Shinichi Mochizuki has done any published programming, and then to suddenly write very good crypto software in C (by himself, who does that) seem implausible. Mathematics Genius != Crypto Programming
