So I still have not found an answer on what is the real replacement for a MacBook Pro 15" for a professional developer these days? I cannot believe the Dell XPS or some Lenovos are the sole options out there targeted towards developers

The version of OS X on the new MacBook Pros (late 2016) will not work with existing Certified Thunderbolt 3 docks and adapters (released prior to November 2016). This is ridiculous.

Honestly, nice if that works easy for you when using just developer tools on the terminal or a text editor. As a web developer, though, you might end up using more than that. A Mac offers so much more commercial applications that just do
