Every year there is an hour that doesn't exist, when the clocks spring forward from standard time to daylight savings time. We also go through the same hour twice when the clocks go back going back to standard time.

In the US we have the option of 220/240 V, but I'm not aware of any corded chainsaw that use that. It's typically used by electric stoves, clothes dryers, etc. We use 110/120 Volts for most appliances for safety reasons

In the USA they have had similar rules for some motorcycle racing classes to make them more even. Sometimes a super trick bike with lots of trick factory parts gets bought for pennies on the dollar.
