It's somewhat hard to say for sure right? Most people don't post a blog post when they themselves brick their computer. Having said that, a PleaseDontDoAnythingStupidEval would probably slow down agentic coding quite a bit and mak

Open-meteo has a free non commercial api. Their api exploration page is super powerful and can pull and graph model-specific forecast data. It doesn't have weathernext but it does seem to have many of the big models if you want to geek

Isn't the current state of thing such that it's really hard to tell? I think the METR study showed that self-reported productivity boosts aren't necessarily reliable. I have been messing with vibe engineering on a solo projec

I feel like every chatgpt thread needs every comment to be prepended with 3.5 or 4. It's incredibly difficult to tell when someone is having a bad time with 3.5, which has many known limitations, or 4 which tends to be more better at p

My mini split works to -13F but at 85% of its normal efficiency once it drops below zero. A lot of Canada is on heat pumps and definitely deal with below zero

cmd+D will mute/unmute (ctrl+D on windows?) I still can't stand the bottom popping up and down and not being able to tell if I'm muted.

My best car "feature" was a rental I had that when connected to bluetooth and driving, would auto-reply to SMS messages with "I'm driving and can't talk right now". At the time I had facebook notifications send

Not the original poster but it takes ages to open, and I have maybe 3-4 notes in there. It's especially bad on android. Also the offline support isn't great which is a dealbreaker in the subway where internet goes in and out.

I use it as well but it moves far fewer people at a much higher running cost. I love the ferry but it's not a viable replacement.

It sounds like you're drawing arbitrary lines about what is and isn't a genre. House and metal have evolved various subgenres, to the point where some the subgenres have their own festivals. Deadmau5 uses polymeters pretty extensi

Tesla wasn't just ahead of everyone else to market, they forced everybody else to market. If tesla gets everybody else to make great electric cars, that's a success to me, even if tesla itself implodes. I think if not for tesla, o

The one I attended assumed their students have spent a good amount of time trying to learn on their own. They also had a long list of work to be read and done before the program even started. In my limited experience, the ones that struggle

There's also just the joy of cooking. It's a skill, no different than programming. I feel the same pride in improving my cooking skills as I do my programming skills. It's nice to make things, and make them well.

If you're passionate and willing to put in the effort and the hours, you'll learn more in a (good) 3 month intensive than in 12 months of trying to teach yourself online. That's my experience anyway.

Funny, I didn't buy threes until after I got hooked on 2048. I bet this just gets him more sales. Threes has a great soundtrack and a good feel to it that the clones will have a hard time replicating. These viral game crazes tend to be

Very nice. You should either open-source it or do a write up on how you made it. As a newbie to web development, I'd love to read it.

If you're willing to run a custom android rom, Cyanogenmod has a feature called privacy guard which can blocks apps from accessing your contacts, even if you grant it permission when installing. In short, it just feeds an empty data se

Anybody have any idea if there is a way to tell if your card was part of the breach? I have a family member who shopped at target during the dates mentioned. I'm wondering what percentage of transactions were affected. Is 40 million 90
