No, distros uses a shim binary that is less likely to need updates. If that shim needs an update (only signed with the new key) then we get into a situation where old machines will fail to boot it.

Existing systems are going to continue to boot. The expiry date is enforced for signing new binaries, not for deciding whether an already signed binary is allowed to boot (barring buggy firmware). https://mjg59.dreamwidth.org

K380 is the non-stand version. It got me into low-profile keyboards. Even spent a while on my desk full time. Other pluses: rearrangeable keys (dvorak), runs on AAA batteries. The legends eventually fail, and the keys take a shine.

I played with a negative ion generator at my desk, and it was great at knocking out my 1440p monitor signal, but the 1080p seemed more resilient. Since then I got a 4K display, and it likes to drop out in thunderstorms. I switched to a bett

Bubble envelopes are all wrong? Flipped bubbles would make it harder to slide objects in and out of the envelope, but they would reduce movement inside the envelope. The difference seems minor other than the ability to tape the flat side, a

Tesla sales by month were above 58,000 for the past 2 years except last February 2025 (30,688). February 2026 they sold 58,600. The only thing I could take away is that Tesla had a bad month last February.

I got a IPX in 2022 and restored it. I was a bit lucky and mine was an ex-IBM unit that came with the Weitek SPARC POWER μP processor (80 MHz) upgrade. It makes for a pretty good project box as one of the smaller SPARC machines. Lots of doc

Altitude can be a huge limiting factor. I biked from Texas to Oregon, and the first days in the Rockies were brutal. It seemed I could barely travel 50 feet up hill without taking a break. I even considered turning around because it just fe

Razer isn't mentioned, but I know they're using Airoha AB1571DN in Blackshark V3 Pro transmitter. Not sure what is on the headset end. Don't see any mentions on their last firmware update, and I can't find older ones.

We are shifting the goalposts here. Campaign donations are not her bank account. Who is going to "take it away" in this scenario? We're not talking about a 'tax the rich' scenario anymore. I don't think she nee

It's a hell of lot better than your estimate of "look at her bank account". Here's something a little more substantiated. In February 2025 she claimed her wealth is under a half million. https://twitter.com&#x

Did you take a look at her bank account? It seems like she's not even a millionaire yet. Some reports are putting her net worth at $49,000 or $125,000. Where are the non-mammon mouthpieces in congress? Your focus feels way too narrow t

There is a Gotek floppy emulator hardware, about $50 USD. A USB floppy drive will be cheaper, maybe $20. I think the T1100 has standard 34-pin IDC connector, but Plus variant uses 26-pin so the Gotek will need an adapter (and probably doe

There are ST Micro parts with two USB ports that can can both be devices. I'm not sure the implications of powering them both at once. Look at STM32F407/417. It might be simpler to get 2 microcontrollers and establish a communicat
