Google has handled themselves better than the content providers in past disputes, and the providers typically fold. I think Google has garnered goodwill by proactively reducing their prices etc.

This is the classic case of development velocity pitted against operational stability. Entirely different incentives, and when vested into the same role that role is bound to prioritize one incentive over the other. For this reason I thin

There really needs to be consumer protections against software-EOL due to mergers/acquisitions, or google just killing things for no reason. Any commercial software based service like this needs to be a contract with consumer society.

Yeah, MS has been pretty vague so far on gha usage. Basically “have fun; don’t go crazy”. I imagine they are waiting and collecting more data before opting to impose any specific usage constraints.

Not necessarily - carriers are a peace-time fleet.. their value is in force projection and unparalleled logistics. When it comes to a shooting war though, the US Navy has an entirely separate war-time sub fleet. The carrier fleets would ba

There will be no 180 so long as china’s reckless belligerence in the region continues. In a time when china could have consolidated its soft power, it ends up pissing off nearly every neighbor and starts a land war with India. The Quad is

The academic literature is overwhelming support of the argument that legislative term limits have zero value. They only lead to inexperienced, ineffective legislators.
