Unfortunately regex is the best we have. A bunch of if statements is also a whole less efficient and prone to errors than a regex statement. Once you start to learn regex, it actually isn't that bad. The challenging part is that a lot

I for one am very concerned that someone may be able to spoof a device on my WLAN and listen to plain text packets or spoof packets of a device. Do you know how many users would click proceed if they got a certificate mismatch warning not e

I used JSON-LD spec because it is preferred by Google, but it requires a lot of duplicate effort of the actual page content. Its almost as if it is designed for sites that use heavy JavaScript frameworks and not for HTML/CSS sites.

Good that they changed it but this is certain to break a lot of automation pipelines. I'd rather be safe than sorry though.

I 100% think they should prioritize this. They've added a bunch of cool stuff to CSS, but half of it is useless unless they actually implement a standard document type of interface so that HTML can be used to create paged media.

Maybe, but it seems bizarre that open source developers go so far to contribute to a closed source proprietary ecosystem when the manufacturer doesn't only make it difficult but they at times actually intentionally impede their work. T

This is already possible and has been for some time on Linux using TPM. What is different about secure enclave, or is it just Apple lingo?

I used to think the same thing until I caught a 40 year old man stalking my teen daughter and continually trying to peer into her bedroom windows on camera. So while it feels good to be ignorant, it doesn't make everything go away. Als

Looks pretty neat but needs a lot more screenshots. Even mako is pretty customizable and is created by one of the Sway contributors.

Some sites now are literally not loading the actual paywalled content until after you sign in, so not matter what you do you aren't going to be able to access it unless someone with a paid subscription shares that content and it is the

GTK != Gnome. KDE is extremely bloated and so that is why I avoid it. One KDE package wants to pull in pretty much all the dependencies for a full desktop environment which isn't what I want to do.

You can catch someone on camera committing a crime and the first thing their lawyer will tell them is to deny it.

Federal Laws can in fact preempt state laws but in this case I believe they got it completely wrong and intentionally wrong at that. Business owners love arbitration and for good cause. It is much easier to manipulate the arbitration system

So the government investigates a big disaster caused in part by their actions and everything is within normal levels. A lot of time the same regulators will say the water is fine when brown stuff is coming out of the faucet.

When it is clear that the interests of the workers and the interests of the company aren't being decided evenly, it is time to repeal those laws. Until Democrats start unilaterally proposing new legislation to repeal those laws they ha

It doesn't put you on the road to holocaust denial. Did I say the holocaust didn't happen? No, I said the ability to not question things is fishy. You seem to equate that with full on denial. Why would you be so worried about peop
