postgres with rls to hide soft deleted records means that most of the app code doesn't need to know or care about them, still issues reads, writes, deletes to the same source table and as far as the app knows its working

I assumed it was the result of the "bubbling" that they describe in the video that also accounts for the grainy appearance of the surface; presumably the bubbling would be visible like this side on?

I don't really understand how whipping out your phone is harder than whipping out your card even if you don't have a watch. In my case I gave up carrying the cards at all a few years back and pay for everything on my phone anyway;

US fees seem very high; Australia & New Zealand have a selling agent fee in the 2-3% range (+ variable vendor paid advertising on top) and buyers agents are uncommon so not a fee most pay at all.

I'd only say a couple of minutes if I thought two minutes was actually a likely time period, yeah, otherwise I'd say a few minutes if I was less certain.

Why does English ever have synonyms? I'm not saying you're wrong, clearly (as a a Kiwi) I've been misinterpreting Aussie usage, but "there's already another way to say that" is pretty common.

I'm a Kiwi living in AU; perhaps I've been misunderstanding Aussies all this time! I've never been aware that anyone would interpret it as anything other than exactly two, I'll have to bear this in mind.

Kiwi here, would never ever do that, I'd just say "a few". Amongst those few things there might be "a couple of apples" which would definitely mean exactly two, no more, no less.

Less ergonomic for people that don't do a lot of number entry - I'm a dev, not an accountant, I never used the number entry when I had it. The MS Sculpt (in the article) comes with a number pad as well, I've had it for years
