Herdr has been my daily driver for about a month now. It cant auto-name sessions like every other multiplexer though. That one stupid feature is so valuable I'm considering moving on.

I agree that AI is suppressing developer wage growth and taking real jobs. The opposite argument is being made elsewhere in the thread, and I think that argument is wrong.

Of course it would. Supply and demand. Some companies would decide not to bother. Others would decide it was worthwhile. The limited pool of supply (app developers) would be distributed across demand.

https://overtype.dev/ exists to let you do exactly this (for markdown). There’s also https://codemirror.net/ which is like Monaco but more lightweight.

I think water usage due to increased electricity demand is a perfectly reasonable measure. I’d be fine seeing that compared to the water used by the rest of the normal electricity generation baseline I use.

The standard governing this is UL 1741 in the US or VDE-AR-N 4105 in the EU. both require certified inverters to detect grid loss and immediately cut off.

I was not aware of auto mode in Claude. In fact, it looks like Claude had it before cursor. Cursor has workspace scoping in a way that Claude does not seem to, but my comment above is mostly moot.
