Agreed, Jason.app is really handy for browsing, validating, prettifying, and minifying JSON. I think the outline view is even less friendly for a non-technical person though, listing every value as a name/data-type/value row.

I think the iOS icons always had a gloss, but they now have a strong bevel particularly noticeable on the bottom. I've noticed that icons with text or design elements overlapping the bevel look especially strange.

I get this effect too with white and pink noise. I'm able to minimize it by playing an additional audio track with a predictable pattern, like ocean waves. That seems to satisfy the pattern-matching part of my brain.

In defense of the author, his audience appears to be mostly people doing black-box security scans (and those writing security-scanning software). For those people, understanding additional attack vectors is useful.
