I agree with all your points. The framework has become bloated and is filled with bolted-on hacks. That's what 2.0 is supposed to address. But I've also found that I'm very productive using it. Sure it's not perfect, but

I think the problem is that it is unlearned too easily. Being forced to modify your thinking to succeed in school or the workforce is what stifles this kind of creativity. I feel like I used to have gifts like that, but somehow lost it alon

Sounds very similar to my own high school experience actually..never really cared, never stressed, smoked a lot of weed, had a lot of different friends, partied, had fun. Could have gotten more girls I suppose, but I'm making up for it now.
