just do factory reset and immediately put it into flight mode. It can't update if it has no wifi password. If you want to update, just do it via cable. I have couple kindle paperwhites of different generations, and none of them did any

convenience is the primary reason I still sometimes use jQuery. Sure dropping one more dependency always seems rewarding, but jQuery is just a tool which when used properly saves a lot of time.

I rewrote my side project ( https://robojs.com ) from Typescript/Redux/React (class based components) to Typescript/Mobx/React (hooks) in less than a week. The process was really simple (mostly deleting code).
