There is a large cohort of people who will complain about ads but also don't want to pay. My little microSaaS is monetised with ads but I offer option to pay if you don't like the ads. Still get plenty of complaints about the ads.

I like that I can embed a bit of vue code into an existing web page. Bit like old school javascript. AngularJS 1.x was like that too and the inspiration for Vue. React/Angular require a whole build process with NPM/webpack etc etc
