I think you’re the wrong audience. The first 3 points are just meteorology standards.

Maybe different manufacturers have very different implementations? My partner’s Hyundai has a lane keep assist and it will always use the commanded input over what the computer thinks. The computer only takes over if you have very loose gri

I’m sure some people don’t like any deportations, but I think the reason the bulk of people are upset with the current administration’s approach is its insane militarization, lack of due process, refusal to identify, apparent targeting of n

> the inverse is that it is “$1.49 billion” that Americans are not earning This is only true if there are an equivalent number of unemployed Americans willing to work the same jobs for the same wage located in the same areas.

Your top level comment got flagged but: some napkin math suggests the additional heat can’t solely be from those sources. According to https://www.climate.gov/news-features/understanding-climate/... The ocean gain

Based on the people I’ve heard make points like this, I don’t think it does convince anyone. I think this type of argument fills a totally different role: “I don’t believe or care about climate change and would like to keep my life as is,

Hello! hodo.graphics is a viewer for meteorological data, designed to be mobile friendly. I started this project out of a hobbyist interest in meteorology and severe weather. There are many other websites that allow you to view this data (m

I would really love to make a ferrofluid visualizer but instead of being part of the signal path, it’s a desk knick-knack with a microphone and wall power… Hmm

https://hodo.graphics Mobile friendly meteorology data and forecasting tool. Meant to be a better mobile option than a site like the College of DuPage model viewer.

Yeah perhaps I’ve been misinformed but this kept saying that countries with more renewables had less efficient grids and electricity costs were higher. Am I misreading it? I thought the exact opposite was true and nowadays renewables are ge

Have I lost my mind? “kids spending their after school time doing homework” Uh… what do you think homework is for? When is it traditionally done? Have you ever done homework before???

DAC seems like a distraction to me. In what situation does investment in DAC make sense over replacing fossil fuel infrastructure? To run DAC, you need power. Why use dirty coal power to run DAC instead of using that money to replace the c

I firmly don’t care which plug wins as long as there is _a_ standard… But with the wind blowing this way will there be an adapter for CCS vehicles already on the road? Or does one already exist?

For what it’s worth, the average interpretation I’ve seen from climate scientists is: - No, we won’t hit scorched earth Venus-like runaway warming. - If we don’t reduce emissions drastically, greenhouse gas warming plus various feedbacks wi

I don’t think you can infer that from just this data. The timeframe for a large amount of people getting Covid plus lag time (recovering, identifying they still have an issue, and applying for disability) also lines up.

Yeah this stat is a bit confusing to me. Does this imply in preindustrial times the net energy was 0, or is this total energy and there’s some number not mentioned of loss?

You leave out from that study that for hydrocarbon bags the number is 30-50. Pretty easy to do that in a year.
