Also with you on this. The checkout flow is deliberately misleading. Sorry Mr. VC, you DID do your homework and the fact that you still invested is telling. First off, what is the "happy path" on this checkout page? Right, totals

No, it's a bonus, which has to be applied for. I take it from the CEO's comments that they were not clear about the T&C's, but my point was that for all of us working for under-funded companies or projects, it takes a lot of nerve to cr

Seriously, for all of us out there bootstrapping startups or working for companies struggling to raise funding, this all comes across as petty. $10k is a lot of money. I'm glad Josh is donating the money to charity, but the onus was on him

I think what he means is silly is that the post only focuses on the $1/2M spent on the domains vs the amount of expectation the company had pre-launch. With $41M, color has more than enough cash to pivot onto something that will work - but

Will the password nazis please go home? Sure, your shell account, bank website, ebay/amazon password should be very secure, secure to the point of not needing to be prompted, but does every site on the net, ie your blog, twitter, etc, need

As pointed out by mbesto, the UK system is pretty slick, and could be refined down to just two fields, however it would require breaking the standard flow of address input forms. With a street number, and a zip/postal code, you can get Stre

No, I've gotten burned twice by a Paypal transaction, but in both cases while I won the battle (dispute) I lost the war because both account holders took out the money from their accounts. In one case I was able to find the guys new Paypal

I don't think any one approach is right or wrong, but for me Facebook+Twitter drive 3-4x more traffic to my site than Google. Getting good google "juice" is important, but not as important as it was a few years ago.

You don't need a real location. There are tons of services on the web where you can use a "virtual" location or the address of the service with the Companies House. I think lost in all this is regardless how easy it is to create a company i

I guess I would question the value in striving for high PR. Modern SEO is far more about engaging with the social scene than hunting down obscure link directories/blogs. If you have a cool service, then find a way to get people to tweet abo

I guess I'm kind of in the middle on this one. I love the concept of the ipad, but hate the closed nature of the platform and am wary of Apple pushing yet another device that pimps the appstore. However, I felt the same about the AppleTV an

I've used homeopathy here in the UK and it does work. However, I seriously doubt any GP here would refer someone to a homeopath unless already suggested by the patient. Different strokes for different folks you know? It's not for everyone.
