Thank you for the thorough write up! I just thought about this today and needed the set of arguments and examples you brought forward. Especially the pointers to NixOS et.al. were informative. Thanks!

Exactly thought the same. Reading experience of the post would have been definitely improved, with less text.

Whats the difference of your definition to a pub? Also they may be limited and there may exist rules on behavior. At least you can/could play cards, converse with your fellows or some randoms.

Couldn't agree more. I also saw her live djing in 2019, such a great and exceptional artist.

Yes I've been doing the same in bandcamp. If I find something I like, I click on interesting user thumbnails (in the "have it in their collection" section) and listen to some of their collection or wishlist. If this resonates

There exists data for websites of groceries in german speaking countries. But I think without location coordinates of each supermarket. This one tracks all online prices of all the austrian grocery brands https://github.com/

Do you have a solution (with your go-to-tools) to put data with coordinates directly into an interactive map, for example leaflet? That is something I really like (and use extensivly) about datasette respectivly the plugins.

I think the authors quote on the top of the page was potential inspiration of this website https://tools.suckless.org and it's tools. The suckless.org url showed up multiple times in hn-search, but they did not get upvotes

great! there is also the python package osmnx[1] to calculate isochrones by yourself. Also check geoff boeing's blog[2]. if you are into geo spatial things. [1]: https://github.com/gboeing/osmnx [2]: https:/
