I think this[0] comes close to what is used to extract text from an HTML document. Fetching can be done via any HTTP client. Will need jsdom to convert the text to DOM before feeding it to readability. [0]: https://github.com

I think the point was first party tracking was okay, irrespective of whether it was Google or Amazon. I expect first party tracking on YouTube and find it useful, but wouldn't want Google to track my activities across the internet.

Fedora CoreOS might be better in this regard since that is designed for server use case. Silverblue took that technology and applied to the desktop. Silverblue user here. Haven't tried CoreOS myself.

I went this route with code-server[1]. But later decided against it because some shortcuts don't work in the browser. Also installing and managing code-server on those VMs had started becoming a chore. I am using remote-ssh instead. Ha

I use temporary containers in firefox. I also have gripe that most of the articles in Medium are non-archivable so I have no way of knowing if the articles I find useful will be available next year.

Yes, there can be but here try to remove the context of writing it altogether. You tend to remember positive memories more than negative memories. That's how our memory works. Period.
