I think that's probably because Apple doesn't even know that backroads existed so Apple Maps couldn't optimize the route. If Apple Maps had knew those backroards, they would probably output the same routes! :-D

Why not increase the price per unit? The dilemma around open sourcing versus big (medium?) company taking advantages of such permissive licenses is more and more common these days. Look forward to a good way to resolve this.

In my limited times with Paypal with scam-like charges, Paypal never approves my request. On the other hand, all my credits card companies, Citi/Chase/etc. approved my similar requests after a review process.
