The odd thing is that UIKit can easily be transformed into a much more pleasant experience if you just fix some of the worst API’s, like embedding ViewControllers and adding constraints in code.

Yet I never had issues doing any design thrown at me using AppKit, UIKit or SwiftUI. Only storyboards and XIBs were hard to style globally. All of the flexibility, but a lot faster than web

Problem with SwiftUI is that it only works well on macOS 26, maybe one version prior. AppKit works well on all macOS versions. Building a macOS 26 only app in SwiftUI today is a great UX, just as fast as AppKit. But it takes quite some effo
