Quiet, safe, neighbors all know each other and hang out. Quick access to Inner Richmond and Marina for food. Walk to Off the Grid (pre COVID) on Thursdays and Sundays. Presidio downtown shuttle takes you to BART/SOMA in 20-30 minutes.

I dropped out to focus on college and then all the FBI busts happened. I work in tech now. I lost touch with most people. I can still find my name and groups in the scene reports that have been archived on defacto2.

You can't "affordable housing" your way to cheaper housing or rent. It can help with reducing displacement, but it increases the cost of the market rate units. The overall problem is a lack of supply. Portland recently passed

Today's low income housing was yesterday's market rate housing. Single family homes do not have affordability requirements and never have any issues with zoning. Multi family housing does but then it has all these fees and afforda

US housing inventory is 860k which is at historic lows compared to 1.5m pre-pandemic. It's a housing supply issue. Salt Lake City and Missoula are up 45% YOY with inventories down 40-50%.

Ski towns should have prioritized apartments and condos in dense villages to make proper transit in town and from the city make sense. Instead they allowed mostly large single family homes.
