I've built a personal meta-harness on top of agy, cc, codex, kiro-cli, ollama that I use to schedule jobs, run oneshot tasks, etc. which provides a general API for my other personal apps that need to do some inference. For example, I b

Great satire. The comedy of errors along the way made me realize that this could have happened also with humans instead of bots. But now it’s faster.

I always wondered if evolution through natural selection has essentially halted for humans for the most part. My thinking is even the previously most likely to die before child bearing has been reversed by modern society. Given that it happ

"So, we’re asking each s-team organization to increase the ratio of individual contributors to managers by at least 15% by the end of Q1 2025.." .. manager layoffs coming too.

I can't vouch for this, and it seems like you have to sign up (and pay) but you could try https://www.joinsecret.com/aws-activate

Would you not agree that there are people behind the economic damage? Just calling it hurting corporations dehumanizes the automotive works that have been put out of work due to the temporary plant closures that the blockade has caused.

+1 - I had a discussion with one of my directs today as they were considering becoming an SDM. There are so many days as a manager where every moment of my time is filled with meetings and admin tasks and at the end of the day you feel like

So there's no nuance to anything people do, there are only good or evil people? That's quite an extreme view.

I can't speak for all the companies listed, but I know we've spent a lot of SDE time ensuring we're compliant with GDPR and various privacy laws. Building new systems and changing existing systems (on the scale of dozens, pro

It's not as simple as NLP. The shirts them selves have to labelled as having stripes or not. If striped is not a attribute of the shirt, it doesn't matter of the NLP can parse the meaning of striped.

I don't think Bezos is inherently political, but the world/US requires him to be so. Anyone in his position would have to be whether they want to or not.

As an engineer with Amazon, I can say with 100% (edit: 99.99%) certainty (without any insider knowledge on the drone program), that PR was not the primary driver of this. I would say you have it backwards. Amazon hired engineers to build it

I work for Amazon, but I don't speak on behalf of Amazon. The social media policy boils down to mostly common sense, don't share confidential information and make it clear you're not speaking for Amazon. No where does it say
