YMMV but the one hedge fund offer I got required putting 50% of the bonus into the fund itself, which then vests out over 4 years. I was told this is industry standard, so it's analogous to the 4 year RSU vesting you'd get at FAAN

Yeah, I'd bet that there was probably only a handful of people like this in the entire intern class. I wouldn't put all my effort or hold out for a case like this. Your time would be better spent doing LeetCode.

Former intern here: they don't do SF internships as far as I know. The office is made of <10 engineers and can't support an internship program.
