And even fewer realize that a 2.1% growth rate is itself exponentially faster than a 2% growth rate. If something grows by 2% per day, vs 2.1% per day, after a year the second one is >20x bigger.

I would gladly accept lower pay at a startup than working at a megacorp. In my view, the fact the megacorps offer better job security and still have to pay a premium for employees, just show that the jobs aren't that attractive/e

I live in one of those cities as well and sold my diesel car last year when the talks regarding the ban started. I now drive a petrol car. It's not that big of a difference.

Interesting perspective, haven't thought of it this way before. It does still provide some benefit to the country though, they can use that money for something else instead of having to pay it back to Japan.

Snap is not a clear case of failing. Sure, they did not displace Facebook, but the founders and investors made a lot of money and while it isn't growing as fast as it should, it is still growing every day.

I think the reason people are not excited is because we are seeing stock market growth without seeing much economic growth. That's unsustainable.
