If one is already temperamentally inclined to the "serenity to accept the things [one] cannot change, Courage to change the things [one] can, and Wisdom to know the difference", then they may not need Stoicism.

Snow Leopard was the best version for me. I used it for months only restarting to install updates and there was no impact on the performance or stability.

Good news. But I've been using Roam [1] for a couple months and I don't know if I can live without "biderectional links" and "unliked references" anymore. [1] https://roamresearch.com/

I would start with "The causes of corruption" by Daniel Treisman. It isn't specific to Latin America, though. In summary, Treisman will show that many factors appear to have an influence on whether a country is more or less c

Sorry, but there is no comparison. None of them were elected by saying: "Vote Reagan (or Trump). It can't get worse than this".

I fail to see how wealth inequality is a problem worse than poverty. I also fail to see why we can't try to fix both poverty and inequality at the same time.

Do you have a real world example of a politician that was elected recently without support of the rich?

I've seen a few complains that could be classified as customer feedback. They all came from people that actually bought the product but disliked one or two things. Comments like: "Apple is doomed", "Touchbar is useless&#

If you think their products are fancy crap, would it make a difference if they suddenly decided to sell them for half the price?

Agreed. It is apples to oranges but the article does an excellent job showing when/why to use each one. I believe the conclusion was spot on and IMO combining the stability of Elixir/BEAM with the performance of Go is the best of

I really hope that better "Unix with good UI" laptops will exist in the future. Right now, I'd rather buy a 2015 MBP than any of those "Dev Edition" machines.

Sure. But it's far from being the failure predicted by the specialists and media in general right after Apple announced them.

What frustrates me the most is that Apple no longer is making a product that I like but no one else is. Every single laptop model in the market lacks at least one feature that's essential to me.
