I’ve been using OMLX on 48gb Mac. It’s a lot smoother setup than Ollama and has a built in model sizer and all that in a nice ui. Also will pre configure and launch opencode, pi, Hermes, codex and Claude out of the box with no fuss. I’ve b

This is not XWA. The are hooking Into the original XW exe. They say it’s a “facilitator app”, but it requires all the original files and runs the original exe. It’s a mod.

There’s also a great mod for the original x wing game that adds beautiful new models and textures. Makes it feel very modern which is impressive given how old the game is. https://www.moddb.com/mods/xwvm/news/

I would disagree that there is no thinking. I think a strong understanding of the fundamentals of coding are still wildly important to get good quality code, and a big part of that is thinking or reasoning through a particular problem. It’s

You can run macOS in a docker container. There’s no hardware acceleration for gpu, but works well enough. You can also try macinabox if you have unraid: https://hub.docker.com/r/spaceinvaderone/macinabox It’s prob

I actually did selfhost my own matrix server to communicate with my friends while gaming. Works great on my steamdeck and I’ve got bazzite on my laptop. Most games I’m interested in work great on Linux and anything that doesn’t I just don’t

Check out GameImage! https://github.com/gameimage/gameimage This started out with bundling wine in appimages, but is expanded a lot. The author created a new appimage alternative that adds some stuff to make games work

Thank you! I haven’t played in probably more than ten years. Makes me want to fire it up for old times sake!

Not op, but magicka is a pretty fun game. You cast spells in a similar way as calling in strategems in hd2. The spell system was super neat. There’s several different elements (fire, air, water, earth, electricity, ice, ands maybe something

I’ve lived in the mountains most of my life and only a couple years in a city. I’d take the mountains any day. The view doesn’t get old (at least to me). The air quality and noise alone are enough for me to not want to go back to a city. I’

It’s more incredible to me that Microsoft has different versions of teams that don’t work with each other, but are named the same thing, and that the home version of teams that doesn’t work with enterprise teams comes forcibly bundled with

When I lived in Australia, those paying with card were charged the exact amount. Those paying cash would round to the nearest 5 cents, in the customer’s favor. I suspect the same will happen here.

You can do this without addons. I turned off recommendations and history, so I get nothing in my feed and YouTube wont even give me a queue of shorts to scroll through. I have to be very intentional on YouTube now and it has cut my usage do

I love my steam deck over my desktop pc anymore. Once I had kids, I never got to have my desk in a place that’s safe from being climbed on, so I hooked it up to the tv. But then they started taking over the tv, and the only way I could game

Anything is better than that dumpster fire. They changed the name but the ui is still straight out of the early 2000s. It’s an exercise in frustration to find the music you’re looking for, and if you subscribe to Apple Music, the radio sugg

This article mentions the piano having electric billows for the suction necessary to operate the piano. I had the opportunity to play a piano similar, but with foot pump billows. It took some doing to keep it going! Although the one I playe

Meh, if they are following the affinity scheme, then a v2 would have a pretty good value add, and is worth it. I paid twice for affinity, and I’m still into the whole suite for less than a few months of creative cloud. Granted, this is one
