Kids are way more disruptive than open space. Depending of the age they are dependent for simple thing like getting a cup of water. Then the list grow fast to get snack or to go to the bathroom. Then it continues by being bored after 10 min

I'm a developer, did small Arduino project but always found it too overwhelming to create a custom board. What do you recommend to get started? I'm impressed by the custom board of this phone!

>let people choose teammates until they find ones that fit. Good way to get a very echo room of single way of thinking with strong bias. But I agree that it is way faster without the friction of different point of views.

The rendering part resonate with me. I've tried in some side projects SolidJS framework and I really enjoy that the rendering of each component occurs once! Easier to not fall into some traps that React has.

Why is that dumb if they gave you exactly what they want? Regardless of their motive, that is what they want and hire you to do. I do not clearly see your point here.

I don't think 1-1 is the right time. If you have a team of 15 people, you would need to repeat the same thing 15 times. Better to give an update of what you are working on (as a manager) for the whole team once.
